#Makeovermonday: Police Violence

This week’s subject was a tough one, no matter how you look at it each data point a victim, a family destroyed and often repercussions in the community. I refuse to believe that the kids joining the police academy want to kill people or hurt someone. But somewhere in the middle something goes incredibly wrong and we are left contemplating an astounding number of police killings.

The original wasn’t a bad visualisation, its annotation was good and the narrative clear and insightful, it just needed some changes and swapping around.

Here’s my take, if you have checked the website, I tried to maintain the same narrative throughout, there was no reason to change it.
